My name is Dr. Aria Thomé. I am a certified sound healer, reiki master, gong practitioner, practicing shaman in the Munay Ki tradition, certified shamanic drum circle facilitator, and activist. I hold a Level 2 Sound Healing Diploma and a Level 2 Tuning Forks certification from the esteemed Sound Healing Academy out of England.
My doctoral degree is in Sacred Music, which has afforded me the chance to study world chanting practices and how to incorporate the voice into not only sessions but how to utilize the voice daily for voice reclamation.
My individual sound healing sessions utilize Crystal Singing Bowls, Tibetan Bowls, Drums, Chimes, gongs and more to specifically address your physical, emotional, and spiritual concerns. I do this with the knowledge of using sound to assess the body's various energetic systems both on the physical and mental/emotional planes of existence.
I'm am also a student of Bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion, and compose and perform kirtan locally to bring people into an experience of oneness with the Divine. I invite you to check out my Kirtan and Bhakti yoga offerings on the events tab!
Currently, I have been studying various overtone singing styles with Jerry Walsh of the Didge Project, as well as shamanic training with him and Estephania Martinez, and plant medicine with Chaski Valencia. It will be exciting to use this knowledge in the context of public sound healing events as well as individual sound healing sessions.
Recently, I have begun leading healing drum circles at mental health and rehab clinics. I do these both for those in recovery as well as the community that supports them. Bringing sound healing out into the community is becoming a theme I try to embody as I further my healing studies. Lastly, I use my chanting knowledge in hospice care settings, so bring peace and comfort to those at the last stages of life.
